Verifactu
Verifactu is the system through which the Spanish Tax Agency receives a record of each invoice at the moment it is issued. Each record carries the fingerprint of the previous one, so an invoice can't be deleted or changed without it showing. The invoice carries a QR code that whoever receives it uses to check it on the website of the AEAT.
OnBio invoices all your sales as the merchant of record, with its own Verifactu record. OnBio issues your self-billed invoices on your behalf and sends their records to the AEAT with the authorisation of representation you sign during onboarding.
Legal basis
It is regulated by Royal Decree 1007/2023 of 5 December, with the deadlines of Royal Decree-law 15/2025: companies apply it from 1 January 2027 and everyone else who has to from 1 July 2027.
