Verifactu on your invoices

Reviewed on 4 October 2026
On this page

Verifactu is the system with which the Spanish Tax Agency receives a record of each invoice at the moment it is issued. OnBio applies it to all your invoices from your first sale, before the dates it becomes mandatory. You do not have to do anything to comply. In the panel you can follow the status of each record and check an invoice on the website of the Spanish Tax Agency.

Before you start

  • Sign the Representation before the Spanish Tax Agency in onboarding, with which OnBio sends your records in your name.

Follow the status of your records

The Verifactu column of Invoices says the status of the record of each invoice.

Invoices of Lucía Navarro Nutrición with the sale in her name of the consultation to Elena Ruiz and the OnBio commission.
  1. 1. Open Invoices in the side menu.
  2. 2. Look at the Verifactu column of each invoice.
  3. 3. Select the invoice to see its tax QR code.

Check an invoice with the Spanish Tax Agency

Invoice of the consultation issued by OnBio in the name of Lucía Navarro Nutrición, with its VAT breakdown and its tax QR code.
  1. 1. Open the invoice from Invoices.
  2. 2. Select Check with the Spanish Tax Agency.
  3. 3. Check on the page of the Spanish Tax Agency that the details match.

What happens next

A record moves from Pending to Accepted when the Spanish Tax Agency receives it. If it comes back Accepted with errors or Rejected, the OnBio team sees it in its console, fixes the detail and sends the correction. When the Spanish Tax Agency accepts it, the status moves to Corrected.

Keep in mind

  • Each record carries the fingerprint of the previous one, so an invoice cannot be deleted or changed without it showing. Corrections are made with corrective invoices.
  • If the Spanish Tax Agency does not respond, OnBio keeps issuing the invoices and sends the records in order when it responds again.
  • The responsible declaration of OnBio's invoicing system is published in Responsible declaration.
  • Royal Decree 1007/2023 regulates it. Companies apply it from 1 January 2027 and everyone else from 1 July 2027, according to Royal Decree-law 15/2025.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to get another invoicing program?

Not for the invoices OnBio issues, which already records each sale in Verifactu. If you issue other invoices outside OnBio, those need your own invoicing system.
