Chapter 3 of 5
Chapter 3 of 5
Your bank account and its change
Your bank account is the most sensitive part of your business, because it decides where your money goes. That is why changing it has three checks: your two-step verification code, a link that reaches you by email and a wait of 48 hours before the new account receives payouts.
Start the change
Only the owner and administration can change the account. Have the new IBAN, in the name of your business's holder.
- 1. Open Payouts and click the Bank account tab.
- 2. Type the Verification code from your app and click Start the change.
- 3. Open the email “Confirm the change of bank account” and click its link within 30 minutes.
- 4. Click Give the new account and type the IBAN in the Stripe form.
The wait
During the 48 hours no payout goes to your bank, neither to the old account nor to the new one. Your sales keep being charged and the balance keeps growing. When the wait ends, payouts go out to the new account again.
The owner and administration get the email “A bank account has been added” with the last four digits. If someone gets into your account and changes the IBAN, that email and the wait give you time to stop it.
If you did not ask for the change
- 1. Open Payouts and click the Bank account tab.
- 2. Type the Reason for cancelling.
- 3. Click Cancel the change.
Payouts are frozen and the OnBio team reviews the account and writes to you. Change your password too.
The holder
The account holder has to match your name or your company name. If it does not match, payouts stop until you correct it. Change the bank account explains it.
What you have now
You know how to change your bank account safely. In the next chapter you see what a risk reserve is.
