Chapter 4 of 5

Payments and self-billed invoices

You do not have to pay your affiliates by hand or ask them for invoices. OnBio holds each commission while the sale's guarantee lasts and then pays it to the affiliate, with their self-billed invoice, at the same time you receive your money.

How it is paid

When the guarantee ends, OnBio issues on behalf of the affiliate the self-billed invoice of their commissions, with the VAT and income tax withholding that apply to their tax details. Then it transfers the amount to their payout account. The transfer is the base plus VAT minus withholding.

The affiliate downloads their self-billed invoices as PDF from their affiliate program. You do not issue or receive any invoice for those commissions. They reach you as movements of your balance.

Review what you owe

  1. 1. Click Affiliates in the side menu and open Commissions.
  2. 2. Filter by status to see the pending, paid or voided ones.
  3. 3. Click Export CSV if you want to take them to a spreadsheet.

If a payment fails

If the affiliate's bank rejects the transfer, the commission is marked as failed and retried in the next cycle. The affiliate sees the status in their program. Ask them to check their payout account if it repeats.

In your balance

Each commission appears in your balance's movements as a line of its own, separate from the sale. That way you see how much each sale left you after paying the affiliate. The monthly reports for your accountant include them too. Pay your affiliates explains it.

Suspend or remove an affiliate

From an affiliate's page you can suspend, reactivate or remove them. An affiliate who is not active stops generating commissions on new sales. The commissions they already had follow their course until paid.

What you have now

You know how your affiliates get paid. In the last chapter you see how to share sales with other creators.
