Chapter 3 of 5
Affiliates and their tax setup
For OnBio to pay an affiliate, that affiliate has to sign up like anyone who invoices. You do not manage their tax details or their invoices. OnBio takes care of it, as long as the affiliate completes their setup in time.
The affiliate's payout setup
The affiliate completes it from their affiliate program, in your store's member area. It has three parts, which they complete in this order.
- Their tax details, with their tax ID and their address.
- The two authorisations that let OnBio issue their invoices and send them to the Tax Agency on their behalf.
- Their payout account, where they receive the money.
A single setup works for every store where they are an affiliate. Give your tax details as an affiliate explains it from their side.
Check if an affiliate can get paid
- 1. Click Affiliates in the side menu.
- 2. Open the affiliate's page.
- 3. Check whether their payout account is complete and when their next payment is due.
If they do not complete the setup
An affiliate without payout setup accumulates their commissions and gets them when they complete the setup. If a commission is released and the setup is still incomplete, that commission becomes unpayable and its amount returns to you. The affiliate sees it in their program with the reason they lost it.
Tell your new affiliates to complete their setup as soon as they join. A commission lost for not doing it is the most common complaint in an affiliate program.
Individuals and professionals
An affiliate can be self-employed, a company or an individual who recommends occasionally. Their tax details decide the VAT and the withholding of their invoices. You do not have to check it, because OnBio calculates it with their details.
What you have now
You know what your affiliates need to get paid. In the next chapter you see how OnBio pays them and with which invoices.
