Guide for creators

Your affiliate program

40 min · 5 chapters

With an affiliate program, other people recommend your products and earn a commission on each sale they bring. You pay nothing until the sale is charged and its guarantee is over. There are five chapters, about 40 minutes in total.

You start by opening the program and setting its commissions. Then you see when each commission is held and released, which tax setup your affiliates need, how OnBio pays them and how to share sales with other creators.

When you finish you will have

  • Your affiliate program active with its sign-up mode and its terms.
  • A commission on each product you want them to recommend.
  • Clear when each commission is paid and what happens with a refund.
  • Your first affiliates invited or approved.
  • A co-production agreement, if you create products with other creators.

Have at hand

  • The list of people who already recommend your products.
  • What you are willing to pay per sale on each product.
  • Your program's terms written down.

Guide contents

  1. Open the programBefore anyone recommends your products, you decide three things: who can join, how long a click counts and how much each affiliate earns with each product.
  2. Commissions and holdingEach commission goes through several states from when the sale is charged until it reaches the affiliate.
  3. Affiliates and their tax setupFor OnBio to pay an affiliate, that affiliate has to sign up like anyone who invoices.
  4. Payments and self-billed invoicesYou do not have to pay your affiliates by hand or ask them for invoices.
  5. Co-productionIf you create a product with other OnBio creators, a co-production agreement splits the net of each sale among you.
