Chapter 3 of 4

Price changes with notice

Over time your subscription will grow and you will want to charge more for it. You can change the price whenever you want, but those already subscribed have the right to know first and to leave at no cost if they disagree. OnBio sends the notice to each subscriber for you.

Change the price

  1. 1. Open the product in Products, open Settings and click Offers.
  2. 2. Click the menu of the offer's row and choose Edit.
  3. 3. Type the new Price including VAT in euros.
  4. 4. Click Save offer.

What your subscribers get

Each subscribed person gets an email notice with the new price. The new price applies on their first charge from 30 days on. Whoever does not want to stay can unsubscribe at no cost before that date, from their area or from the email's link.

Charges falling within those days are made at the previous price. That is why the change shows little by little, according to each person's renewal date.

Those who subscribe later

Whoever subscribes after the change pays the new price from the first charge. They get no notice, because they already see it on the product page.

Explain why it goes up

OnBio's notices say the price and the date. Before changing it, write to your subscribers yourself with a broadcast and tell them why: the new content, the community that has grown or the live sessions coming. Send an email to a segment explains it.

Keep the founders' price

If you want to reward the first ones, do not change their offer. Create a new offer with the new price and mark it as default offer. Those already subscribed keep their price and whoever arrives now sees the new one. Each change of the normal price stays in the product's Price history.

What you have now

You know how to change the price without surprises for anyone. In the last chapter you see cancellations and how to recover failed charges.
