A broadcast is a one-off email, such as the launch of a course or a piece of news. You can send it to all your subscribers or only to a segment you choose with tags.
Prepare the broadcast
- 1. Click Email in the side menu and click New broadcast.
- 2. Type the Internal name, the Subject and the Preview text.
- 3. Build the content with Add block and click Save draft.
- 4. Click Next: recipients to move on to the audience and the send date of the broadcast.
Choose the segment and schedule it
- 1. Under Who it reaches, choose A segment.
- 2. Click a tag once to include it and again to leave it out.
- 3. Click Send me a test and check it in your inbox.
- 4. Click Send now, or choose the Date and the Time and click Schedule broadcast.
What happens next
The broadcast goes out at the Madrid time you chose. You can cancel it until it starts going out. Then you see its opens, its clicks and the sales it brings.
Keep in mind
- The recipient count already leaves out unsubscribes, bounces and complaints.
- You can schedule it between 5 minutes and 90 days ahead.
- Gmail cuts emails over 102 KB. The preview warns you if yours weighs more.
