Stripe asks me for more information

Reviewed on 4 October 2026
On this page

Stripe, the company that verifies your identity and your bank account, can ask for new details at any time, also after onboarding. Find here what you see in your payout account and sort it out before the deadline so that your charges and your transfers do not stop.

There are pending details with a deadline

How to recognise it

You received the email «Stripe needs more details of your payout account» and the payout account step says «Stripe asks for new details before» with a date.

Where to check it

You see it in Payout account, in What Stripe asks for, with each detail and its date.

What to do
  1. 1. Review each pending detail and its date.
  2. 2. Select Complete with Stripe.
  3. 3. Send what the form asks for, such as a document or a proof of address.

The deadline has passed

How to recognise it

The payout account says «Some Stripe details are past their deadline.» and it can appear as Restricted.

Where to check it

You see it in Payout account, in the status of the account and in What Stripe asks for.

What to do

Select Complete with Stripe and send what is missing as soon as possible. Stripe reactivates charges and transfers when it reviews the details you send.

The form was left halfway

How to recognise it

The account appears as Form not finished and onboarding says «Finish the Stripe form.»

Where to check it

You see it in Payout account, in the Account status.

What to do

Select Set up payouts and carry on where you left off. Your details stayed saved at Stripe. Verify your identity and open the payout account explains it.

The bank account holder does not match

How to recognise it

«The bank account holder does not match your name or company name.» appears and the payouts to your bank are stopped.

Where to check it

You see it in Payout account and in the notice under the balance in Payouts.

What to do

Put a bank account in your name or your company's, as it appears in your tax details. To change it, follow Change the bank account.

Stripe has rejected the account

How to recognise it

The account appears as Rejected with the reason Stripe gives, such as the verification not completed in time.

Where to check it

You see it in Payout account, next to the status.

What to do

Write to OnBio from OnBio support with the reason that appears. A rejected account cannot charge. The OnBio team tells you what options you have depending on the reason.
