Withdrawal and digital content

The law gives you 14 days to withdraw from a distance purchase without giving reasons. With digital content, such as a course or a download, you lose that right when you start using it, if you accepted immediate access when buying.
Check your period
- 1. In your area, click My purchases and then the order's row.
- 2. Click Ask for the refund.
- 3. Read the line «You can withdraw until…», with the deadline, if you are still within the period.
Withdraw
- 1. From the same screen, write under Reason (optional) that you withdraw from the purchase.
- 2. Click Confirm the request.
What happens next
Within the period, we return what you paid to the same payment method and you lose access to the product. You follow it in the status of your refund.
Keep in mind
- When you buy digital content, checkout asks you to tick «I want immediate access and accept that I lose the right of withdrawal as soon as the download or the access starts». Without it you cannot start using it before the period ends.
- For a service, such as a custom order or a session, you can ask for it to start before the period ends. If you withdraw afterwards, you pay for the part already provided.
- Even if you lose the withdrawal right, the creator's guarantee still applies, as request a refund explains.
- Spanish Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007, the General Law for the Defence of Consumers and Users, sets the withdrawal period in its article 102 and its exception for digital content in article 103.
