Chapter 2 of 6

Lessons and video

Lessons are the heart of the course. Each one can be video, audio or text. As each lesson is published separately, you can launch the course with the first modules and keep recording the rest.

Create a lesson

  1. 1. Click Add lesson inside the module.
  2. 2. Type the Lesson title and choose the Type.
  3. 3. Click Create and edit.

Upload the video

  1. 1. In the lesson, click Upload video and choose the file.
  2. 2. Wait until it finishes processing.
  3. 3. Check the automatic subtitles and correct what is needed.
  4. 4. Click Publish.

A video can weigh up to 30 GB. Subtitles help whoever watches the course without sound, such as on public transport. Whoever does not hear well needs them too.

Record with mobile in mind

Many of your students will watch the course on their phone. Record with good light and good sound, put important text large and in the centre and avoid lessons over 15 minutes. If a lesson runs long, split it in two.

Add downloadable material

A lesson can carry files the student downloads, such as a template, a PDF summary or the module's exercises. Upload them under Attachments with Add attachment, up to 500 MB each. The student finds them in the lesson and saves them on their computer or phone to use them offline.

Give a lesson away

A lesson as a free preview can be seen from the product page without buying. Whoever is unsure tries your way of explaining before paying.

  1. 1. Open a lesson from the start of the course.
  2. 2. Tick Free preview.
  3. 3. Click Publish.

Choose a lesson from the start that shows your way of explaining. Whoever buys later sees it like any other. Free preview and live recordings explains it.

What you have now

You have published lessons with their videos and a sample lesson. In the next chapter you add quizzes and the certificate.
