Chapter 2 of 5

Cookies

The law asks for the visitor's consent before using cookies that are not necessary, such as measurement or advertising ones. OnBio puts in your store a notice that complies. You do not have to hire any cookie tool or draft your own policy.

The notice

The visitor sees at the bottom Accept all, Reject all and Configure, with the same size and the same contrast. Rejecting is as easy as accepting. That is what the law asks. In Configure they accept each category your store uses separately.

The categories

  • Necessary cookies always work, because without them nobody can buy or enter the area.
  • Analytics counts unique visitors and where they come from.
  • Advertising loads your Meta, Google and TikTok pixels.
  • Affiliates keeps the click of an affiliate's link.

Only the categories your store uses appear. If you have no pixels or affiliate program, the notice only offers analytics.

The cookie list

Your store's legal information shows Cookies of this store, with each cookie's name, its owner, its category and its duration. It updates on its own when you connect a pixel or open your affiliate program. The visitor also opens the cookie policy from there.

Your part

Do not add third-party scripts to your store on your own. Connect your pixels from Pixels in Analytics, so they only load with consent. If you embed a video from another website in a block, check it does not load advertising cookies without permission.

How long the decision lasts

The visitor's decision expires after 12 months. If the notice's text changes version, everyone sees it again. The visitor changes their mind whenever they want from Cookie settings, in the store's footer. The cookie notice of your store explains it.

What you have now

Your store complies on cookies. In the next chapter you see which products you can sell.
