Chapter 3 of 4
Chapter 3 of 4
Transactional WhatsApp
OnBio sends three service notices by WhatsApp to the buyers who accept it at checkout. You do not have to connect any number or prepare any message. Notices go out from OnBio's WhatsApp Business number, in the language the buyer paid in.
The three notices
- The access after purchase, seconds after payment, with a button that opens their member area.
- The booking reminder, 24 hours and 1 hour before, with the time in the buyer's zone.
- The failed payment notice, once per charge, with the amount and the button to update the card.
They are service messages about something the person already bought. OnBio does not send promotional messages by WhatsApp.
Who gets them
Only those who ticked the box at checkout and gave their phone get WhatsApp. The box always comes unticked. Everyone else gets the same notices by email, so nobody misses them.
Check if it arrived
- 1. Click Messages in the side menu.
- 2. Find the notice by its order in the WhatsApp tab.
- 3. Look at its status, which goes from Sent to Delivered and to Read.
A notice that was not sent explains the reason. If a booking changes time or is cancelled, the pending reminder appears as Not sent. If the number has no WhatsApp, it appears as failed with that reason.
Opting out
If the buyer answers STOP, they stop getting notices and get a confirmation. They keep getting the same notices by email.
Your plan
Your plan includes a number of WhatsApp messages a month. If you go over it, the notices keep going out, because they are part of the service to your buyers. WhatsApp notices to your buyers explains it.
What you have now
You know which notices your buyers get by WhatsApp. In the last chapter you go over Meta's rules.
