Chapter 3 of 4
Chapter 3 of 4
Certificate and check
When OnBio finds your record, it issues your domain's certificate so your store opens with HTTPS. Without a certificate, the browser would warn your buyers that the page is not secure. You do not have to buy or renew anything.
The statuses
The domain goes through Waiting for DNS and Issuing certificate until Active. You get the email “Your domain … is now active” and your store opens on it with HTTPS. The Domain tab shows the status at every moment.
Check that it works
- 1. Open your domain in your phone's browser and on your computer.
- 2. Check that the secure connection padlock appears.
- 3. Enter a product and get to checkout without paying.
Also open your store's onbio.es address. It takes you to your domain, so the old links you shared keep working.
Apple Pay and Google Pay
Card and Bizum payments work on your domain from the first moment. Apple Pay and Google Pay appear when their registration finishes. You follow it in Wallet payments, inside the Domain tab, without setting anything up with Apple or Google.
If the certificate fails
If the domain becomes Error with “We could not validate the certificate.”, check that the CNAME points to the Value the screen shows and that you do not have another record with the same name. Then click Try again. If the error says OnBio's provider failed, wait a few minutes and try again.
Keep the record
Do not delete the record while you use the domain. The certificate renews on its own, as long as the record keeps pointing to OnBio. If it stops pointing, you get an email and the store is served only on onbio.es again until you fix it. My own domain is not working explains it.
What you have now
Your domain is active with its certificate. In the last chapter you see your member area on your domain.
