Ask for the exemption

The holder of the business asks for it, with their identity already verified. It covers the healthcare of a regulated healthcare profession, such as psychology or physiotherapy. It also covers private tuition of subjects of a curriculum, given by a natural person.

1. 11. Open Settings and click Business.
2. 22. Turn on I sell VAT-exempt services.
3. 33. Choose Healthcare or Private tuition.
4. 44. Type your profession, your membership number and your professional body, or the subjects you teach.
5. 55. Upload the certificate that qualifies you, of up to 10 MB.
6. 66. Read the Third-party invoicing agreement and click Sign and ask for the exemption.

The agreement authorises OnBio to issue your invoices in your name. You sign it with your second factor.

For healthcare, upload the membership certificate of your professional body, issued in the last three months. It has to read in full and show your name, your membership number and the date. For private tuition, upload the degree or the document that shows you teach those subjects on your own account. The certificate is kept in the private store of the invoices and only the team that reviews your request opens it.

The OnBio team checks your certificate point by point. Meanwhile the section says Pending with the date of your request. You get an email with the decision. If it is rejected, the email and the section tell you the reason and you can ask again.

An approved exemption holds while you stay registered in the same profession. If you change professional body or stop practising, withdraw the exemption in the settings of Business and ask for a new one with the current certificate.
