Sell a custom service
On this page
A custom service is a piece of work you do for each buyer, such as a meal plan, a video review or a design. The buyer answers your form at checkout before paying and you deliver within the deadline you set. Each purchase arrives as an order with its delivery date.
Before you start
- Decide what you need to know from the buyer to do the work. The form accepts up to 10 questions.
- Decide in how many calendar days you deliver from the payment.
Prepare the service
- 1. Create a product of type Custom service from New product.
- 2. In the Content tab, write the questions of the Order form.
- 3. Write the Delivery deadline in I deliver in.
- 4. Create its offer in Offers and select Publish.
Deliver an order
You receive the email «New order from» with the buyer's name and the product. Open Service orders in the side menu.
- 1. Open the order and read the answers of the form.
- 2. Select Mark as in progress when you start.
- 3. Select Choose files, or write a Video link or a Message.
- 4. Select Deliver when the files finish being checked.
What happens next
The buyer receives an email with the delivery and sees it in their member area. The order moves to delivered. You can make more than one delivery in the same order.
Keep in mind
- If the delivery date arrives without delivering, the order appears as late.
- The video link can be any https address, such as one from YouTube, Vimeo or Loom. The client opens it from their member area.
- A custom service is sold by OnBio as the legal seller, which issues the invoice to the buyer.
- A cancelled order does not accept deliveries.
Frequently asked questions
Can I ask the buyer for more information after the payment?
The answers of the form are what arrives with the order. If you need something else, write to them at the email that appears in the order and deliver when you have it. Add the missing question to the form for future orders.
