Sell a membership or a private podcast
On this page
A membership charges each month or each year and gives access to the courses, downloads and podcasts you include, as well as to your community. A private podcast delivers its episodes in each buyer's podcast app, with a feed that only works for them. In both cases access lasts while the payment is up to date.
Before you start
- For a membership, publish first the courses, downloads or podcasts it will include.
- For a podcast, have a square cover of 1400 to 3000 pixels and the first episode in MP3 or M4A.
Prepare the membership
- 1. Create a product of type Membership from New product.
- 2. In the Content tab, choose what goes in Included in the membership.
- 3. In Offers, create a monthly or yearly offer.
- 4. Select Publish.
Prepare the podcast
- 1. Create a product of type Private podcast from New product.
- 2. In the Content tab, complete the Show details with the author, the category and the cover.
- 3. Select Manage episodes and publish the first episode.
- 4. Create its offer in Offers and select Publish.
What happens next
Whoever subscribes to the membership accesses everything it includes and joins your community. Whoever buys the podcast receives their private feed to add it to their podcast app. Each new episode reaches them on its own.
Keep in mind
- If the member pauses the subscription or stops paying, access is suspended. If the podcast buyer stops paying, the feed is cut.
- A membership only includes courses, downloads and podcasts.
- The podcast needs at least one published episode to be published.
- A price change of a subscription is announced to subscribers 30 days in advance.
Frequently asked questions
Can I include the podcast in the membership?
Yes. Publish the podcast and choose it in Included in the membership. Each member receives their own private feed while their subscription is up to date, without buying the podcast separately.
