Here you create an AutoDM rule. You choose where it listens, which words trigger it, what it replies and which product it leads to.
How to get there
In AutoDM, click New rule. You need to have Instagram connected.
What you can do
- Listen on one specific post or on all of them.
- Reply to comments, to direct messages or to both.
- Ask for the email before sending the link.
- Choose a published product or lead magnet as the target.
Step by step
Create a rule
- 1. Type the Name.
- 2. Choose One post or All under Where it listens.
- 3. Choose the trigger and add the Keywords.
- 4. Write the Reply with {link} where the link goes.
- 5. Choose the product under Target.
- 6. Click Save and activate so the rule starts listening.
What happens next
The rule starts replying as soon as someone writes one of its words. Each reply starts with the notice that it is automatic.
Keep in mind
- It accepts 1 to 10 keywords and ignores capital letters and accents.
- On a specific post only comments are listened to.
- The reply has a maximum of 1,000 bytes including the notice and the link.
- If you ask for the email, the text must include {privacy_url} to link your privacy policy.
These roles can open this screen: owner, admin, content editor and support.
Frequently asked questions
Which product can I choose as target?
Any published product or lead magnet of your store. If the target stops being published, the rule is paused with that reason until you choose another one.
What is asking for the email for?
The commenter leaves you their email before getting the link and goes into your contacts. That way you can write to them later even if they do not buy. The request text has to link your privacy policy.
