Here you connect your Instagram account so AutoDM answers comments and messages for you. The screen shows the connection status, the permissions granted and the last event received.
How to get there
In Integrations, click Set up Instagram. The email asking you to connect the account again also brings you here.
What you can do
- Connect a professional Instagram account.
- Check that it has the comment and message permissions.
- See when the access token expires.
- Reconnect the account if Instagram withdraws a permission.
- Disconnect the account.
Step by step
Connect your account
- 1. Check that your account is professional and public. You don't need a Facebook page.
- 2. Click Connect with Instagram.
- 3. Accept the permissions in the Instagram window.
What happens next
The account shows as connected and you can now create rules in AutoDM. The token renews itself before it expires.
Keep in mind
- A personal account does not work. Switch it to professional in Instagram, under Settings, Account type and tools. It is free and reversible.
- AutoDM only answers on public accounts, because a private account does not get comments from people who do not follow it.
- If you disconnect the account or Instagram withdraws a permission, AutoDM rules are paused until you reconnect.

Frequently asked questions
Can I connect more than one account?
No. Your business has a single connected Instagram account. If you connect another one, your AutoDM rules are paused with the reason You connected another Instagram account. and you check them before activating them.
