Community resources
On this page
Resources are courses or digital downloads you include in the community. Each active member receives access to them while they remain in the community, without buying them separately. They are useful to add value to a membership with what you already have, such as a welcome course or a recipe book.
Before you start
- Publish the courses or the downloads you are going to include.
Add a resource
Open the community from Communities and select the Resources tab, which shows the ones the community already has.
- 1. In Add resource, choose a course or a download.
- 2. Select Add.
What happens next
Each active member receives access to the resource and sees it in their member area. The list says how many members have access to each one.
Keep in mind
- A resource you add later also reaches the members who were already there.
- When you remove a resource, the members lose the access the community gave them. Whoever had the product on their own keeps it.
- Only courses and digital downloads can be resources.
- A membership can also include products in its Content tab, with Included in the membership.
Frequently asked questions
How is a resource different from what a membership includes?
What a membership includes is set up in the product and reaches whoever pays the membership. A resource is set up in the community and reaches each active member of that community, whatever product it belongs to. If the community is the membership's, the result for your members is the same.
