Channels

On this page
Here you organise the community in channels, like topics or rooms. Each row shows the name of the channel and how many posts it has. The order of the list is the order of the channel menu your members see in the area.
A good split into channels helps each member find what interests them without reading everything.
How to get there
Open the community from Communities and select the Channels tab, one of the tabs above the community feed.
What you can do
- Add a channel with its name and its description with Add channel.
- Change the order of the channels by dragging them.
- Edit or delete a channel.
Step by step
Add a channel
- 1. Select Add channel.
- 2. Write the Name and, if you want, the Description.
- 3. Select Save.
Delete a channel
- 1. Select the delete button on the channel's row.
- 2. Confirm with Delete channel.
What happens next
The new channel appears in the channel menu of the member area. If you delete a channel, its posts move to General.
Keep in mind
- The General channel cannot be deleted.
- A community accepts up to 10 channels counting General. The list tells you how many you have.
- With the focus on the handle of a channel, Space picks it up, the arrows move it and Space drops it.
These roles can open this screen: owner, admin, content editor and support.
