Instalments and pay later
On this page
An expensive product sells better if the buyer does not have to pay it all at once. OnBio offers two ways: your own instalments, from 2 to 6 monthly payments that OnBio charges, and Klarna pay later, which pays you the full amount upfront.
Sell in your own instalments
Instalments are available on courses and on the private offers of an application.
- 1. Open the product in Products, open Settings, click Offers and then New offer.
- 2. Under Payment mode, choose Instalments.
- 3. Type the Amount of each instalment in euros and the Number of instalments.
- 4. Check the total shown below.
- 5. Click Save offer.
Sell with Klarna pay later
Klarna pays the full amount and takes the risk of the buyer not paying them.
- 1. In New offer, choose Pay later under Payment mode.
- 2. Type the Price including VAT in euros.
- 3. Under Klarna options, tick Pay in 3 instalments (€1 to €3,000), Pay in 30 days (up to €500) or both.
- 4. Read the commission points your plan adds and click Save offer.
What happens next
With your own instalments, the buyer pays the first one at checkout and OnBio charges the next ones every month until the number of instalments is complete. Each instalment appears in Sales as an order of its own with the type Instalment. With Klarna you receive the whole sale as a one-time payment.
Keep in mind
- If an instalment fails, OnBio retries it for 7 days and tells the buyer with a link to change the card. If it is not charged, the plan becomes Defaulted and the access is suspended until the buyer pays the pending instalment.
- Bizum is not offered in your own instalments.
- Pay later is only available on products OnBio sells as the legal seller and that accept the one-time payment. The price has to fit Klarna's amounts for Spain.
- With Klarna, your plan adds commission points to each sale collected that way. The offer editor tells you how many before you save.
