Here you create the discount codes of your store. Each row shows the code, the discount, whether it applies to the whole store or to some products, how many times it has been used and when it expires.
A coupon applies at checkout when the buyer types its code or opens one of its links, which carry the discount already in place.
How to get there
Click Coupons in the side menu, in the Grow group, the one with your contacts, your emails and your analytics.
What you can do
- Create a coupon with a percentage or a fixed amount off.
- Limit a coupon to some products.
- Set a maximum number of uses, keep it for the first buyers or give it an expiry.
- See the Active or the Disabled coupons, and find one with Search by code.
- Copy a coupon's link to share it.
- Edit or disable a coupon from its row's menu.
Step by step
- 1. Click the Copy link button on the coupon's row, the icon next to its menu.
- 2. Paste the link wherever you want.
Disable a coupon
- 1. Click the menu on the coupon's row.
- 2. Click Disable.
New coupon
In the dialog you choose the discount, which products it applies to and how many times it can be used. A coupon with No limit is valid until you disable it.
- 1. Click New coupon.
- 2. Type the Code.
- 3. Choose the Discount type between Percentage and Fixed amount and type how much it takes off.
- 4. Under Scope, choose Whole store or Specific products and tick the Products.
- 5. Set the Maximum uses, the First buyers or the date in Expires on if you want to limit it.
- 6. Click Create coupon.
What happens next
The coupon appears in the list with its Links to share. Whoever opens one of those links reaches checkout with the discount already in place. Whoever has the code types it at checkout after clicking Have a coupon?.
Keep in mind
- The code is saved in capital letters and each buyer uses it only once.
- A disabled coupon no longer applies in checkouts opened afterwards.
- The usage limit cannot go below the uses the coupon already has.
- A coupon limited to products takes from 1 to 50 products of your business.
- The tab, the filters and the search you pick go in the address of the page. Back on the list or after a reload, it reads as you left it.
These roles can open this screen: owner, admin and content editor.
