TikTok rejects the Events API token

Reviewed on 19 October 2026

If the TikTok Events API shows Token rejected and you got a notice, TikTok no longer accepts the purchases OnBio sends it from the server. Find the cause here and follow its steps.

The token expired or was revoked

How to recognise it

The status of TikTok Events API says Token rejected. It happens when someone generated a new token for the same pixel or removed the previous one in TikTok's Events Manager.

Where to check it

You see it in Pixels, in the TikTok section.

What to do
  1. 1. Generate a new token in TikTok's Events Manager, in your pixel's settings.
  2. 2. Paste the new one in Access token.
  3. 3. Click Change token.

The token belongs to another pixel

How to recognise it

The token is valid, but you generated it for a pixel other than the one you saved in TikTok pixel. TikTok rejects the sends because they do not match.

Where to check it

You see it in Pixels, comparing the TikTok pixel with the one in the Events Manager.

What to do

Generate the token from the same pixel you have saved in OnBio, or change the TikTok pixel to the right one and click Save. Then paste the token and click Change token.

Frequently asked questions

Are purchases lost while the token is rejected?

The browser pixel keeps sending the purchases of those who accepted advertising. Only the server ones stop arriving, the ones that recover sales a blocker hides. Those that failed with the rejected token are not resent, so put in the new token as soon as you can.
