Review sessions and devices
On this page
Every time you sign in to OnBio from a browser or from the app a session opens, and it stays open until you leave or close it. On the security screen you see all your open sessions and the history of sign-ins of the last 90 days, with the device and the approximate location of each one.
If you receive the email «New sign-in to your OnBio account» and do not recognise the sign-in, this is where you cut it off.
Before you start
- Enter the panel from a device that is yours.
- Have your current password at hand in case you need to change it.
Review your sessions
Open Settings in the side menu and select Security. The open sessions appear under two-step verification, with the session you are looking from marked.
- 1. Review the list of Open sessions, with the device, the place and the last activity of each one.
- 2. Select Close on the session you do not recognise.
- 3. Select Close the other sessions if you want to keep only this one open.
Cut off a sign-in you do not recognise
- 1. Select Close the other sessions.
- 2. Write your Current password and the New password.
- 3. Select Change password.
- 4. Review the Sign-in history to see where they signed in from.
What happens next
Each closed session stops working on its next request and on that device you have to sign in again. Changing the password also closes the sessions on your other devices.
Keep in mind
- The session you are looking from appears as This session and cannot be closed from here. To leave it, select Sign out in your account menu.
- The new sign-in email arrives when you sign in from a device or a place OnBio had not seen. If it was you, you do not have to do anything.
- Whoever signs in with your password also needs the code from your phone. A sign-in with «Wrong code» in the history means that someone tried your password without your phone.
- The location comes from the internet address and is often that of your provider.
Frequently asked questions
What do I do if the history shows «With a recovery code» and it was not me?
Someone has your password and one of your recovery codes. Close the other sessions, change the password and select Generate new codes so that the previous ones stop working. Then write to soporte@onbio.es so that the OnBio team reviews the account.
