If you have forgotten your password, OnBio sends a link to the email of your account to create a new one. The link works once for 30 minutes. When you save the new password your sessions on every device are closed, so if someone was using your account they are left outside.
Before you start
- Have the email of your OnBio account open.
- Have your phone with your verification app, because signing in asks for the code.
Ask for the link
Select Forgot it? next to the password on the sign-in page.
- 1. Write the Email of your account.
- 2. Select Send link.
- 3. Open the email «Reset your OnBio password» and select the «Choose a new password» button.
Save the new password
- 1. Write the New password, of at least 8 characters with an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, a number and a symbol.
- 2. Write it again in Repeat the password.
- 3. Select Save password.
- 4. Select Sign in and enter with the new password and the code from your app.
What happens next
You enter the panel with the new password. Two-step verification and your recovery codes do not change. The other open sessions have been closed. On each of those devices you sign in again with the new password.
Keep in mind
- For security, the page says the same thing whether or not there is an account with that email. If the email does not arrive, check that you wrote the one of your account.
- You can ask for the link up to three times an hour with the same email. Always use the last one you receive, because each new link cancels the previous one.
- Your current password keeps working until you save the new one.
- If your account was created with Google or Apple and has no password, the same link lets you create one.
Frequently asked questions
What do I do if the link says it is no longer valid?
«This link is no longer valid» appears when the link has already been used, more than 30 minutes have passed or you asked for another one afterwards. Select Ask for a new link, write your email and open the last email you receive within 30 minutes.
And if the email does not arrive?
Look in the spam folder and in the promotions tabs of your email. Also check that you write the email you signed up with. If you still cannot get in, check I cannot get into my account.
