What each role can do
On this page
Each person in your team has a role that decides which sections of the panel they open and whether they can change them or only see them. The side menu shows each person only what their role allows. If they open a screen that is not theirs, they see a notice with their role and go back to the Home.
Before you start
- Check that you are the owner or have the administration role to change roles.
- Go over the five roles in Keep in mind before choosing.
Choose the role when inviting
Open Settings in the side menu, select Team and activity and stay on the Members tab. The role selector of the dialog says under each role what it can do.
- 1. Select Invite.
- 2. Choose the Role that fits their work.
- 3. Select Send invitation.
Change someone's role
- 1. Open the menu of their row in Members.
- 2. Select Change the role.
- 3. Choose the new Role.
- 4. Select Save role.
What happens next
The new role applies from that person's next action in the panel. Their side menu changes to show the sections of the new role. The change appears in the activity of the business with your name.
Keep in mind
- Owner can do everything, including accepting the legal texts and giving or removing the administration role.
- Administrator can do everything else, including handling the payouts, the team and the activity of the business, except changing the role of another administrator.
- Content editor handles the store, the products, the member area, the community, the bookings and the marketing. They do not see the sales or the payouts.
- Support handles the support inbox and the community, and sees the products, the orders and the bookings without changing them.
- Accounting sees the sales, the invoices, the reports, the analytics, the affiliates and the business details, without changing anything.
- Only the owner and the administration see the activity of the business and change the bank account.
Frequently asked questions
Can there be two owners?
No. Each business has a single owner, who is the person who created it. If you need someone else to run everything, give them the administration role. They can handle the sales, the payouts and the team, and only the legal texts and changes to other administrators are left out.
Which role do I give my accountant?
Give them the accounting role. They see the sales, the invoices and the tax reports to prepare your returns, and they cannot change your products, your prices or your payouts.
