Close your business or delete your account

If you work in someone else's business, you can leave their team and your OnBio account keeps existing. If you want to leave OnBio, you ask for the erasure of your account, which also closes the businesses where you are the only owner. The erasure cannot be undone and OnBio answers you within a month at most.
Before you start
- Download what you want to keep, such as your sales reports or the list of your contacts.
- Withdraw the available balance of your businesses from Payouts, because the erasure is not accepted with money still to transfer.
- Let your buyers know if you have active subscriptions or bookings.
Leave the team of a business
Open Settings in the side menu and select Profile. The section about your role in the business says your role and has the button to leave.
- 1. Select Leave the business.
- 2. Confirm with Leave the business in the dialog.
Delete your account
On the web
- 1. Select Privacy in the side menu.
- 2. Choose Erasure in What you want to ask for.
- 3. Select Send the request.
In the app
- 1. Open Settings in the app.
- 2. Select Delete the account.
- 3. Select Continue with the deletion.
- 4. Confirm with Delete the account in the dialog.
What happens next
The request appears in Your account data with its deadline. When it is completed, OnBio closes your sessions, removes you from the teams you work in and closes the businesses where you were the only owner, with their store. We let you know by email when the account is deleted.
Keep in mind
- Invoices and tax details are kept for six years because the law requires it. OnBio blocks them so that nobody uses them while that obligation lasts.
- Your buyers' orders keep existing without your name.
- When you leave a team you lose access to that business on your next request. To come back you need a new invitation.
- The owner cannot leave their own business. Their way to close it is to erase their account.
Frequently asked questions
Can I close one business and keep another?
No. A business closes when its only owner erases their account, and then all the businesses where they are the only owner close. To stop selling in one and keep the other, open each product of that business in Products and select Close sales.
What happens if it tells me to withdraw the balance first?
The request is refused while any business that would close has an available balance, so that you do not lose that money. Open Payouts, select Withdraw balance and ask for the erasure again once the transfer has gone out.
