Accept a new version of the legal texts

When OnBio publishes a new version of a legal text you signed, such as the creator terms, it lets you know by email and in the panel with the date it takes effect. If the change is relevant, it publishes it at least 30 days in advance and, from that date, the panel becomes read-only until the owner accepts the version. Your sales and your payouts keep working at all times.

Before you start

  • Check that you are the owner of the business, the only person who can accept the legal texts.
  • Take a few minutes to read the summary of the changes and the full version.

Review and accept the version

Select Review in the notice on the Home, or open Settings and select Legal texts. The screen shows in Waiting for acceptance each version with the date it takes effect.

  1. 1. Select Read on each pending version.
  2. 2. Read the text and go back to Legal texts.
  3. 3. Select Accept the pending versions.

What happens next

The screen says «Versions accepted. The panel is available again.» and the acceptance is recorded in the Acceptance history with its date. If the panel was read-only, you can edit again from that moment.

Keep in mind

  • The email «New version of…» reaches the owner and the administration with the date it takes effect and the summary of the changes.
  • If the change is not relevant, you can keep using OnBio without doing anything and accept it whenever you want from Legal texts.
  • In read-only mode you see the whole panel without being able to change it, except Legal texts, Profile, Security, Payouts, Moderation and Privacy, which keep working so that you look after your account and your money.
  • In Legal texts, the tag Needs accepting marks the versions that are already in force and leave the panel read-only.
  • If you are another person in the team, you see the same read-only notice. Ask the owner to accept the version.

Frequently asked questions

What happens if I do not agree with the new version?

You can stop using OnBio before it takes effect. To do so, erase your account from Privacy, after withdrawing your available balance. Close your business or delete your account explains it.
