Run an A/B test

Reviewed on 4 October 2026
On this page

An A/B test shows half of your visits the current sales page of a product and the other half a variant B with another headline, another description, other main media or other testimonials. After a few weeks you compare which one sells more and keep it.

Before you start

  • Have a published and public product with its sales page.
  • Decide what you are going to test. Change a single thing to know what moved the sales.

Create and start the test

Open Store in the side menu and select the A/B tests tab.

A/B tests of the store with the test of the course headline running.
  1. 1. Select New test.
  2. 2. Choose the Product and write the Test name.
  3. 3. Change in variant B what you want to test.
  4. 4. Select Save draft.
  5. 5. Select Start test.

Choose the winner

A/B test of the headline of the course «Come bien sin dietas» with the figures of the current page and of variant B.
  1. 1. Open the test in the list.
  2. 2. Compare the conversion and the revenue of the two variants.
  3. 3. Select Keep variant B or Keep variant A.
  4. 4. Select Choose winner to confirm.

What happens next

If you keep B, its fields move to the product page for every visit. With A, the page stays as it is. In both cases, the figures of the test are kept.

Keep in mind

  • Each product allows a single running test at a time.
  • What you leave empty in variant B is taken from the current page.
  • OnBio does not calculate statistical significance. With fewer than 100 sales per variant, the difference may be down to chance.
  • Whoever accepted the analytics cookies always sees the same variant.

Frequently asked questions

Can I test two different prices?

Not with an A/B test, which only changes the sales page. To compare prices, create two offers of the product and share them in different campaigns, each with its link. Offers explains it.
