Release, editions and groups

A course can open all its content on the first day or release it by drip, one lesson or one module every certain number of days. If your course starts on a date with the whole group, organise it in editions. If some students need another pace, create groups with their own rules.
Before you start
- Decide whether each buyer starts when buying or whether everyone starts on a date.
- If the course already has students and you want to move it to editions, create first an edition for them.
Release by drip
Open the course from Courses and select the Release tab, where you also choose between open access and access by editions.
- 1. In Content release, choose Drip.
- 2. In Released every, choose Lesson or Module.
- 3. Write the Days between releases, from 1 to 365.
- 4. Select Save.
Create an edition
- 1. Select New edition in the Editions tab.
- 2. Write the Edition name.
- 3. Set Enrolment opens, Enrolment closes, Starts and Ends.
- 4. Select Save edition and then Publish in its menu.
Create a group
- 1. Select New group in the Groups tab.
- 2. Write the Group name.
- 3. In Group content, choose Hidden or From a date where needed.
- 4. Select Save group.
What happens next
With drip, each student receives the content counting from their purchase or from the start of their edition. Whoever buys while the enrolment of an edition is open joins it.
Keep in mind
- The dates of the editions go in Madrid time.
- Students are added to a group from the Students tab.
- What a group leaves as the course follows the release of the course.
- Only a group without students can be deleted.
