Chapter 1 of 7
Chapter 1 of 7
Before you start
A well-done migration goes unnoticed from outside. Your buyers keep entering their courses and your followers keep finding your store. The secret is preparing everything in OnBio before changing any link.
Complete your sign-up
Before selling, complete your sign-up to sell on OnBio: your tax details, the authorisations and your payout account. The OnBio review can take a while, so start here. The guide launch your store explains it.
Take stock
Make a list of everything you sell on your previous platform, with its price and its type. For each one, decide which product type it will be on OnBio: course, digital download, 1:1 session, membership, live event or lead magnet. Take the chance to leave out what you no longer sell.
Export your data
Download from your previous platform the CSVs of your customers, your students and your contacts. Bring your business tells you in What to upload which files each platform asks for. Also have on your computer the folder with the videos of your courses.
What is not transferred
The progress of your students in their courses does not come along: each one starts from the first lesson. Your subscriptions do move, with their price and their renewal date. If you charged through your own Stripe account, the cards are copied to OnBio. If not, each subscriber gets a link to add their card once.
The order
- 1. Import with Bring your business your products, your courses, your students and your contacts, without notifying your students yet.
- 2. Move your subscriptions from the report of the import.
- 3. Publish your products once you have reviewed them.
- 4. Check your store and your products as a buyer will see them.
- 5. Change your bio and email links.
- 6. Tell your students and your contacts that you are moving.
What you have now
You have your migration plan. Go on with your platform's chapter.
