On this page
Here you connect a subdomain of yours so that your store is served on it with HTTPS, such as shop.yourdomain.com. The screen gives you the DNS record you have to create at your provider and tells you at which point the connection is.
With the domain active, your store also accepts Apple Pay and Google Pay on it.
How to get there
Open Store in the side menu and select the Domain tab, the last of the tabs at the top.
What you can do
- Connect a subdomain of yours to the store with Connect domain.
- Copy the CNAME record you have to create at your DNS provider.
- Check right away whether the record is visible with Check now.
- See in Wallet payments whether Apple Pay and Google Pay are available on your domain.
- Remove the domain and serve the store only on onbio.es again.
Step by step
Connect a domain
- 1. Select Connect domain.
- 2. Write the Domain.
- 3. Copy the Type, the Name and the Value of the record.
- 4. Create that record in the panel of your DNS provider.
- 5. Come back here and select Check now.
What happens next
The domain goes through Waiting for DNS and Issuing certificate until it reaches Active. From that moment your store answers on it with HTTPS.
Keep in mind
- The store has to be published before connecting a domain. Only the owner and the administration can connect it.
- The root domain does not accept a CNAME, so use a subdomain.
- The record takes between a few minutes and 24 hours to propagate. OnBio keeps checking it for 72 hours.
- If a step fails, the screen explains the reason. Fix it and select Try again.
- When you select Remove domain, also delete the CNAME record at your provider.
- If the domain stops working, check My own domain does not work.
These roles can open this screen: owner, admin and content editor.
